American Kal-Kote-Style Veneer Plasters

Modern American plastering technique is usually referred to as "veneer plaster" because usually two coats of plaster are applied over the existing wall surface, either new construction or old, with the combination of the two layers being approximately 1/8 inch.

Veneer plaster will typically hide all defects on walls and ceilings, also causing any cracks to permanently disappear. Textures range from very smooth to heavier, "skip" and "pull" textures.

Ken Shook plastering offers more than eight textures from which you may choose. Your color choice ranges from the traditional white to more than a thousand vibrant alternatives. We offer ceiling and wall textures in bi-colors as well.

The advantage of color-pigmented plaster is that you get the color you want without the cost and labor expense of paint. For those of you looking for an Italian or desert-southwest look, we offer our "Tuscany Villa", available in your choice of colors. The advantage of plaster over dry wall is durability, hardness, beauty, and plaster's innate ability to hide any and all defects in walls and ceilings.
